taking on water through idle relief port

alpha one gen 2 4.3 engine. after alignment where I had to move front of engine to port 3/4 " I am now taking on water through the starboard idle relief port. found out by pulling boat and running garden hose into bilg ,water ran out port. Not sure how the piping is layed out and manual is no help so I could use some advice.thanks in advance.

Those ports go right into the exhaust port, inside the boat that port is connected to the exhaust Y.
Put the boat in the water and look under their with a light and mirror and see if you can see what is leaking. What ever it is, the engine is going to be coming out to fix it.

Thanks Don. figured the engine had to come out,but on the bright side, I can clean up my bilg area and inspect everything without standing on my head, thanks again

Here is a hint, if you still aren't sure of where the leak is. After you remove the engine, put the drive back on. Block off the Exhaust Y and back it into the water again to verify where the water is coming in at. Lot easier to see a leak with the engine out of the way.
