taking on water

Hello

I have a 1992 Four Winns 235 Vista and the last couple of times I have taken it out I've noticed the bilge has about 1-2 gallons of water in it after a full day out running. It has just started leaking and I would like to know where the possible leak locations would be so I can cover them all. I put it on the trailer every time so it dosen't stay in the water. When I run it in the driveway with the hose ears on it, it dosen't leak. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You might need a TRANSOM SERVICE KIT The rubber bellows crack and let in water.

Next time your in the water look inside under the engine and see you you can see water dripping in under where the outdrive comes into the boat. If you see leaking then that might be the problem.

Now, is the water leaking in faster with the engine all the way up or all the way down? If the water seems to be coming in faster with the engine up than I would bet you need a to replace those rubber bellows.

check drain plugs, swim grid supports, gps mounts, any below water line areas,check your hull for hairline cracks, your boat should have a open path from the front to the back under the floor so it could anywhere, check any drain plugs for sinks, toilets make sure ther seated.if it is your leg dry out the transom before you reseal it so you dont trap water.check your risers for leaks
