I seem to leak a little bit up under the driver and passenger dashboards and right where you walk to go up to the bow...I can't seem to find the leak and it isn't anything huge because I can be out on the lake for hours and all that happens is the carpet gets a little wet...any place I should look and what I should look for?? Also I am wanting to get the foam out from under the floor and possibly the bow this offseason and was wondering how the heck I get down there?? I have a 1971 Larson 16' Shark... There is a plywood piece then a fiberglass type material and under that complete hard foam.. I know this because parts of the fiberglass part is cracked and I have begun to remove it. The foam is rather hard and don't know the best way to get it out...I just completed a complete interior appolstering. I believe if I take that foam out I will find that its pretty waterlogged and i will help the performance of my boat a bit.

check where the lower and upper hull join. many leaks are there, and a little caulking solves the problem. you would be surprised how much water can come in there, as you go to plane and slow down.

there is a joint where the top part and hull part of the boat meat the black rub rail covers the joint. look underneath. red line represents joint.

ok so I take the front two screws off and I should be able to see where they meet? or do I just need new calking underneath that rub rail...and then how do I get to that pesky foam under the floor??
