tanaka 1.2 no anode?

after i clead the carb this motor starts and it looks like its in good condition, i noticed that there is no anode and also it isn t included in the parts and owners manual, as far as i know every outboard must have one,any explaination will be appreceated .

These little motors generally spend little time in the water.Being so small are easily removed or tipped up out of the water.I would guess they are not recomended for salt water unless carefully flushed and rinsed.You probably could add some sort of universal anode.
