Hi i purchased a Tanaka 300 dont know the year serial number is G069120 anybody know the year also any thing i should look for as in wear on this motor

Tanaka stopped production in 2002.They made motors
under the names:: Sears,Gamefisher,Aqua Bug and Tanaka.These motors are all identical within each hp. except for shroud and decals.The power head is air cooled and specifically calls forTCW oil at 50:1.
Magneto air gap is .013. Point gap .013.Timing 25 degrees before TDC.RCJ8 Champion plug set at .025.
There probably won't be much help on typical problems
just use normal outboard precautions and maintainance
procedures.
