Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

Such a shame...and I find it hard to post here the thoughts welling through me at this time.

Bob and I met back in May, 2009 at the first Florida Iboats get together. He and Tasha showed up in his pontoon boat. What a character! We had a great weekend; and Bob had much to do with making the gathering the success it was.

We stayed in touch and this past April we had our second gathering. Again, Bob and Tasha and some young friends he was helping to start a business. He was a little ill at the time, but insisted he be there to help bring things together.

Here are a few pictures of Bob and Tasha..always at his side.

He will be missed greatly for all his knowledge and the helpfulness he brought to this forum.

Rest in Peace, my friend...

As I posted above..it was a shock to hear of his passing. He had been in and out of the hospital for a few months, and was recently discharged to a nursing home. I understand he was there for just a few days before he passed.

He loved the Florida Keys; and made an annual pilgrimage there. I understand he is to have his remains spread over the waters off Big Pine Key....

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

Very sorry to learn this news. Boats and boating were his passion and he helped a lot of people with their motor problems both on and off this site. One of the things that I know brought him great joy was to sell one of his rehabbed boats to someone just starting in the hobby. I will also remember how highly he spoke of his "protege", if you will, who he started his repair business. He said he taught Brandon everything he knew and was excited to report that he was lately learning from him. He will be missed.

DANG!!! I went by his house towards the summer to get some help. We talked a while and I knew he was having health problems but I didn't know it was that bad. :( He taught me a lot over the past two summers. He will be missed.

Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away

In my other thread I said that I didn't want to speculate as to why TD stopped posting and this is why.

From what I knew of this man I never met he was a doer, not a talker. When we lost SBN I was too new of a member to feel the loss but could see the impact on those that knew him. Now we have lost another of our most loved members and I for one am going to miss him.

My prayers go out to his family.

Please, someone who knew him better than me share a story about him as I'd rather see this thread celebrate his life than only morn his (our) loss.
