Re: Tashasdaddy Has passed away
Please, someone who knew him better than me share a story about him as I'd rather see this thread celebrate his life than only morn his (our) loss.
I don't have a lot to share, as we only spent two weekends with each other, but here are some of my thoughts and remembrances..
We met at the Iboats gathering at Lk Griffen a couple of years back. We had emailed each other a lot to co-ordinate the gathering. When we met, he was just as I imagined. Kinda crusty, a little rough around the edges, but a good soul. Tasha was right by his side the whole time. We talked fishing and boats...now he was in his element!
He made sure we all had food and drink. We had a bunch of door prizes that he worked hard to get Iboats to donate to our cause. He really enjoyed meeting everyone and had some good times running his pontoon boat all over Lk Griffin.
As soon as that gathering was over, he began planning the second one. Many of us in the first group jumped in and helped locate sites and bring things together. Bob brought Branden, his co-worker and friend who he was training to run his business. I felt at that time he knew he was having some medical issues.
The second gathering was lots of fun at Crystal Isle. Again, he worked to provide food and drinks as well as some banners and gifts. I will include this photobucket link of him that weekend fishing on our boat. The young lady with us is Branden's sister, Monica...
Little did i know this would be the last time i would see Bob alive...
