RIP TD, many folks have been helped and will continue to be assisted thanks to the archived knowledge here on iboats. Very glad that he was able to impart some of his wisdom and expertise to his mentor and to us on the site.

To those who aren't aware, TD could, and did repair, rebuild and troubleshoot just about every type of outboard motor known to mankind and we have all benefitted from his help. He is a legend in the Johnson/Evinrude forum.

The site will not be the same without him and we are lucky to have had him with us.

I am so happy that my first boat had a Johnson on. With all my problems TD was always there with an answer. He has touch so many lives on this forum. R.I. P.

He was one of the first few to respond to my questions 6 years ago when I joined the forums. We've crossed paths many times on here since then. So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My heart goes out to his family and everyone here that misses him.

Being a relatively new guy here, I never met/knew Mr. Griffis, nor could I probably say I had any interaction with him on the postings....

That being said, all the posts I have read that he had authored were usually of the highest caliber, and His thoughts on any issue deserved the utmost recognition.

Iboats has lost a great mentor.

God speed Mr. Griffis.

Thanks for letting us know. I have been here long enough to know he was a class act and the forum has suffered a great lose. Best to his family and his dog too. Im sure the pouchie will be well cared for. I bet a hundred people would quicky adopt that fine looking husky.I would
