Re: Tax Cuts,....??...
First of all, we don't enjoy tax cuts, we are simply experiencing deferred taxes passed on to our children.

Tax code, and tax "fairness" are complex issues, and should not be relegated to partisan sound bites, on either side of the fence.

The reality is that we are experiencing a dramatic and widening divide among the "haves" and "have nots", we are experiencing basically full employment, presumably where most people have a job that want a job, and that is effectively the best job they can find, corporate profits are by all accounts in good shape, and still we are running half trillion dollar deficits.

Someone at some point in time has to pay for these deficits. If not us, it will be our children.

I don't know about your household, but when I have to finance basic expenses with debt, I have to change something. Either I need to spend less money, or I need to increase my income somehow.

It's a false argument to suggest that one side does or does not want tax cuts. Everyone wants to pay less taxes. The question is really what we really need to spend, and where we can get the money from. Six years ago, we were in surplus, and today we are in deep deficits.

The party currently in power has shown no inclination to decrease spending, so we better figure out how to raise more money. It's hard to imagine, under the current economic conditions, tax cuts are going to do the trick.
