After several years away from it I am back to restoring my 1960 MFG Oxford. I was able to purchase (invest in) a new Taylor Windshield about six years ago. It arrived with the vinyl molding that fits between the windshield and the deck. It either came with or I purchased from another source a package of "Taylor Made #1726 Installation Foam". This is an 8' X 1/4" X 3/4" adhesive foam strip.
My question is how this foam strip is used with the window installation? Does it go between the molding and the deck? If so, is it stuck to the deck or to the molding? Or somehow between the windshield and the molding?
Or could it be that it has nothing to do with windshield and inadvertently got into my box of windshield parts by mistake?
