TD-20 and HD-25 recoil starter interchangeable??????

Anybody know if the late 1940's TD-20 (5 HP) and HD-25 (2- 1/2 HP) recoil starter assemblys are interchangeable? I picked up a nice TD-20 but it needs a recoil starter set-up and I found a HD-25 parts motor on CL with a good recoil starter but have to drive a ways to see it.

Anybody know if they interchange?

Just for future reference.......from the information I have received from other sources......the answer is NO....not interchangeable.
