Wonder if it would improve the picture quality on my Wallyworld $200 TV.

Funny stuff!
Did you read the reviews?
" the picture was so good I wept for days"
"And when the cable arrived, it was beautiful - like being smacked in the mouth by the hand of God."
"And since I like to count hairs while watching my favorite programs, this little beauty has increased my accuracy to levels I never before thought possible."

Too much!

Help me out here. 40 feet of cable for $2,200? Maybe I'm just a little to serious to understand the joke that the reviewers obviously got.

All my AV cables are gold plated, not the cheap silver stuff.

BTW I cannot see customer reviews.

Odd, I went to the website directly and searched the SKU and did not see comments. I googled the product name and it pointed me back to bestbuy and oddly enough I was able to see comments.

Re: Technology getting out of hand.....

Called a good friend of mine who owns a company that makes MIL and DOT cables for the government.

State of the art cable. The wave of the future. High speed, category 2, HDMI 1.3 compliant. 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) transmission rates. Supports 10-bit, 12-bit and 16-bit (RGB or YCbCr) over current 8 bit technology.

In comparison, the Cat 5 cable you?re currently using on the computer is most likely a 100 MHz cable. Unless you have state of the art equipment that can utilize the cables high speed capabilities it buys you nothing.

In his opinion, the price of the cable assembly is a bit high seeing that it?s a ?retail? cable. At 10 meters in length, he would price it somewhere in the $1,000 ? $1,200 range.

That's insane. I got all my cables for the theater room from Monoprice. Amazing picture for a $25 30' HDMI cable, without the cost of a brand name.

There is a link for 36 month financing though. so not that bad if you need it.

Edit: Check this out: http://www.audioquest.com/pdfs/RetailPriceBook_v2010-May-web.pdf

Page 23. You can get the 100% solid silver version for $9800. I think this is what I am going to use for my bilge pumps from now on. Big safety item and you just shouldn't scrimp on safety . . .

If you don't already have one you will want to upgrade to Bilge Pump with Bidirectional communication
For efficient operation. of course if your running multiple Bilge Pumps you'll want to upgrade to cables with multi- directional communications so they will function as a seamless fully integrated sentient system.

I buy all of my HDMI and AV cables from Cablewholesale. I run some pretty high end stuff and have never had an issue with quality.

I bought an HDMI cable for our TV, Cost about 40 bucks.

Did lots of reading. I ordered 3 of these cables.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013EXTZU/ref=oss_product
They are from Eforcity,
Costed me 90 cents plus shipping.

I have an Xbox360, PS3 and HD cable.. I can't tell the difference in the cables.
Save your money and buy the cheap ones.

P.T Barnum may have said it best: "There's a sucker born every minute!"
Buying expensive cables that carry only digital signals is a waste of money, unless the cable is being connected/disconnected multiple times.

Makes absolutely zero difference if they are gold plated. Marketing gimmick. We are talking about a digital signal here. Its either there or not!

Don't waste your money on the cables. They make little or no diffrence what so ever.
