I have absolutely no idea what your problem is or how to fix it. I did want you to know that people are actually looking at your posts in a positive light.

Have you tried changing the internal clock back, say to..........2003 ;)

BTW, if you haven't purged your cookies, iboats will still 'see' you.

I'm with Ken on this - your description of the problem (s) is/are not clear. Windows XP Pro is the best operating system yet. I have had it from the get-go and have never had it crash.

You get to iboats by entering www.iboats.com in the address bar of your browser. When you get here create a shortcut on your desktop and use that forever more. I have never used the run command with XP.

If that does not help try to restate your problem and leave out your dialog with Microsoft and Yahoo. After you have written it out read it over and ask yourself if you think we can understand what you wrote. A lot of folks write things and assume that the reader knowa what is in the writers mind and in reality we don't have a clue.

To keep from being automatically logged into iboats, first log out. Then log back in. At the log-in screen, under the field for your password, there is a check box with the definition "Check this box to remain logged in after your browser session ends ". De-select this check box and continue with log in. I believe this will prevent your log-in from carrying over session to session.

I'm sorry I can't help with your Yahoo! question. I don't Yahoo! very well.

All my passwords are entered in a hidden mode. Don't know how to do otherwise.

Sorry, I wasn't more help.

Thanks to all, especially Aldo. As a matter of fact there was one possiblity that the problem was caused by lack of synchronization in the clock, but since my clock and date were correct I figured that the response came from India and was Tomorrows History. ;)
So little, your point is well taken. However you concurrence with Ken is a little confusing. Much on the order of being unable to understand what is being explained, rather than not understanding and trying to give a solution. The problems are manifest and many and probably do not have related solutions. I think that the I boats defaulted check relates to removing the check but when I do a box or outline moves to the dialogue. If you click on the open area, that removes the outline and closing the browser logs you out automatically. If you just remove the check and the outline remains around the dialogue then you must manually log off or remain log on. iboats also affords a prompt that will allow you to remove all cookies from iboats. So glad to know that you have had such good luck with XP. It is too bad that your success does not offset my bad luck. ;)
boatbouy, the part about the encryption was poorly written. What I meant to say was that in my old program the encrypted characters were replaced with asterisks. In XP they appear as black dots. I wondered if that was designed to better disguise the characters or just a cosmetic thing.

Me, what did I do?

Usually I tell people to 'hit it with a big hammer'.

Credit where credits due, the other responses tried to help, I just made a stupid remark.

I'm thinkin it would be helpful to talk about only one thing at a time. And then to zero in on what needs fixed.

About crashes and sending reports -- it has been my experience that the option to send a report happens long after the crash that is being reported. In other words, your reply has no effect on running programs, it is the reporting program that is talking to you.

I'm guessing that the program is failing over and over for the same reason and that reason is somehow related to the site or how you are addressing it. You might want to try re-entering from the home or default page.

Never underestimate the power of a big hammer. Awkshoeally, I have this new set up because my son was tired of hearing me slap the monitor to keep it working.
Have you seen the movie (read the book, seen the play or have the album [long story]) No Time for Sergeants? "well back home when the rahdeo don' work we jes spit on the the back of it and wump it" :D
Doll upper, about the only thing that isn't wrong with this setup is the keyboard. :)
