Teleflex steering 1958 johnson 18hp

Hi, i just finished rebuilding the boat i got this winter and i am now in need of your help. I bot a new teleflex steering cable and i can't figure out how to connect it to my antique engine. Anybody have ever experienced this kind of problem?. Thanks guys!!!

See a boat shop for an adapter kit .---Or find a used tilt tube from a scrapped outboard and weld brakets to it.---Mount that on your transom.
