I'm needing a new sterring cable for sh5023 helmet sterring box.
My old cable is ss07217. I can't find a replacement for it.
Are these cables replaceable? Or do i need to replace everything?

I suspect the part number for your old part is actually SSC7212.

Teleflex sold off the gauge business and the cable business many years ago

Look at seastar which is the old teleflex cable company

Generally you replace the helm and cable as a unit
