Tell tale issue

I have 1984 Mercury 60 hp 3cyl I just got. I have replaced the water pump and still no water out of the pee hose. I've let it run for little over a minute so it should be getting hot. Anyone have any idea's?

I'm new to boats myself and don't know much but my tube was plugged with parts of an old impeller so maybe check that?
