I have a 1977 Evinrude 25hp outboard (model 25702s) and while on vacation this week the tell-tale stopped flowing water. I took the lower unit off and the impeller is still good, resealed it and put it back together and still no flow from the tell-tale. I get a decent amount of water spraying from the holes on the back of the leg, from what I've read this means the tell-tale just got plugged and the motor is still being cooled, correct? I forgot my manual at home.

Re: Tell-tale stopped flowing

Not sure if this is your problem or not but I keep a piece of thin copper wire on all my boats b/c almost every time I go out my telltale doesn't flow. It's the mud dauber wasps around here. They fill the telltale hole with dirt if I let them sit for more than a few weeks. A quick poke into the hole with the engine running on the muffs always clears the blockage. Just from my experience though...

Yeah, if you're still getting plenty of water and it's not overheating it's probably just some junk in the rubber hose.
