2002 225 efi 2 stroke
Temp on gague reads 200 deg. Doesn't seem right. The stream from the tell-tale is only warm to the touch. Should the tell-tale stream reflect the temp gague?
Thanks, Dead Eye

What is the temp guage reading? Water or Metal temps..

You will have to diagnose this to make sure?

The temp gague reads the metal on the head. From what i can see there is a sensor on the top of the head. I ask these questions because my old motor 1988 150 tha tall-tale temp seemed to represent the head temp. As the motor heated up the tell-tale stream was HOT.
Thanks, Dead Eye

Re: Tell-tale stream temp

The water in the tell-tale stream passes through the power-head before exiting the tell-tale. Am I right? If so as the temp on the head rises the temp of the stream should increase. I am not saying the temps should be equal in degrees. I would think if the head temp is around 200 deg the telltale stream should be very warm if not hot.
Thanks, Dead Eye

You need a book. The water flow on these vary. My opti pisser gets water from midsection, up thru the fuel rail and into air comp, and the to the pisser. Never goes thru the motor.
