Guys and gals, it's been mentioned before, but please indicate where you live in your profile. Folks are posting "what's it worth" threads that really can't be discussed intelligently without some knowledge of where the item is being bought or sold. Not only that, it's just nice to know where you are on God's beautiful planet.

That and the "what kind of boat should I buy" questions. Big difference between boating off the east coast of Maine, and boating in New Mexico!

Sorry, it was the first time i created this kind of map. I've changed the setting and now everyone can edit the map (previously i was the only one that can do it).

i'm located right in the center of oregon--200 miles from pacific coast, or 110 miles to the columbia river--i originated out of seattle area. spent 38 yrs there. i was born and raised on boats-told my newest wife --one thing that will always be in my house--IS A BOAT PAYMENT !!

Does anybody ever set up a kind of Google map or something like that where everybody here on iboats could register his location? Seems a neat idea, no?

You need a Google account to be able to add your own location to the map. After you login, you click on ?Edit? in the top left corner then on the ?Add a placemark? icon on the map (it look like an inverted blue drop). You put it where you live then add your iboats forum usermane in the title field and anything you want in the description field (comments, photos, video, etc.) and you clik ?Done?.

If it turn out to be popular, it could even worth a sticky, who knows!

Um, I think the intent of the post was to get folks to put their location in the top left corner of the post by putting it in the profile, not for a survey.

Darn! Mine keeps showing up in the upper right corner!

I will be boating mostly in the mighty Hudson if I can ever get my boat finished.
