Hi,
Long time reader first time writer anyway to cut to the chase. Last trip out sounder in the shop due to cracked screen but being a red blooded male said 'out we go,out we go,out we go to play'. Great day was had till our return when I [no-one else to blame-unfortunately] grounded us in the muddy bottom. My son(first mate)jumped overboard to help lift skeg and we cleared the bar. Problem is when we returned home to flush the motor no water out of telltale.
Please help
Lazvic

Welcome aboard! We love to have new people who post!

Have you used a tiny wire on the tell tale hole? It really does not take too much to block that up. You might want to insure the hole is open and take it a step further and disconnect the hose that leads to it. Since it was run into the mud I would suspect that is the problem.

Bob

Re: Telltale or lack of!

I have a small connector that I can put on the end of a garden hose. I use it to backflush the system when the motor is cold and not running. It works great for unstopping the tell tale.

Welcome aboard. :D

Might want to replace the impeller too if it has been a while.
