Temp fix for leak in shift cable bellows?

Shift cable bellow has a tear and boat is taking on water. I can't find someone who can repair it before this weekend and we have big boating plans. Someone suggested to us that we put sealant around the outside of the bellow sealing it together and then clamp it.

Thoughts or other ideas?

Let me also add I've already purchased all new bellows (u-joint..exhaust..shift) for the boat and a gimbal bearing while I was at it. Just can't get the parts replaced before this weekend. I'm not looking to keep the temp fix. I'm just looking to not sink my boat this weekend.

Only takes about 2 hours to fit it right, takes less to sink it.

if it sinks you won't need the new parts you've already got... i think i'd change my plans....

Bt-I'll have my husband call you. I don't know anything about this stuff.. but it only makes sense to replace all the bellows and the gimbal bearing same time since drive has to come off anyway? Or should we just worry about the one that's leaking? I have all bellows. gimbal bearing. unit seal kit. bellow adhesive.

EDIT: Looking to replace all bellows... will worry about gimbal bearing at the end of the season.
