I have a 99 150 EFI , installed a new Flagship temp gauge (100-240 F). I get abnormal readings (120-130 very low) also the telltale is very hot (as it should be) and the engine works fine. where can be the problem? thanks asaf.
the t-stats opens at 143F and the readings are after the motor had run for a while and they have opened. the telltale is very hot (min 180).<br />there is a problem somewhere.
asaf: Did you check the tell tale water with a thermometer? 130 degree water is very HOT to the hand. I've never tried it but I doubt very much if you want to touch 180 degree - dangerous.<br /><br />
