Temp Guage and Solenoid ?

I have a 27' sportcraft with a 454. First question, the temp guage usually reads 150 when warmed up, but now stops at 100 and won't go any higher. Do I need a new thermostat? I had the temp sender replaced this spring thinking that was my problem, but that didn't work. Second question is from time to time, when I turn the key I am getting a clicking noise from time to time. After turning the key several times the boat then turns over. This isn't happening every time, but I still don't like it. I am thinking I need a new cylinoid. Any help would be appreciated.

Ayuh,... It's entirely Possible that Both of your problems are being caused by Bad Motor Grounds....

Remove, sand, clean,+ grease All of the Ground Wires,+ Straps...
Both ends of All of them....
