Re: TEMP SENSOR LOCATION

What do you mean by water temp?
If your referring to the temp gauge on your dash. Then that is engine temp..
The sensor is located on 1 of the 2 heads. Generally the port side.
To be safe, you should have a gauge for each head.

Re: TEMP SENSOR LOCATION

yes the gauge on the console. the sensor is positioned on the upper left of port head. is this the right place to read the engine temp? the temp was reading 200 running and 163 idle. i replaced the sensor and now the temp reads less than 120 idle and 125 running. (gauge only goes down to 120)

Re: TEMP SENSOR LOCATION

bradster you say a gauge on each head, makes great sense. is it possible to tie two sensors together with one gauge, or do you have to to seperate sensors an gauges.

Re: TEMP SENSOR LOCATION

Classic....it's possible to use a three position toggle switch. Then you can toggle between sensors and use one gage.
