Is there an easy way to determine temperature of the running power head?
Manual says to use some heating sticks 125F and 163F, but I think it is old.

Is there something inexpensive?

What should be the right temperature?

Thanks.

Harbor freight has a cheap laser pointed thermometer for $8.00. You just about have to be touching the surface of the item to get an accurate reading but it does seem to work.

There is also a sticker with some type of built in thermometer that you can apply to wherever and get a temp reading. They sell them at Motorcycle shops. I think there about $6 for 3 stickers.

My Johnson 35 runs about 140-144 degrees in a barrel.
