temperature problem?

Put boat in water today. Motor is a 96 Evinrude 150. New thermostats and pump middle of last season. Ran great all season.
Today at normal running 4,000 RPM temp. is fine. WOT (~5,000 RPM) temp. climbs to edge of "green", almost in "red". As soon as I reduce RPM all is well again. no other changes to motor. Water temp. is 46 degrees.

Not enough cooling water getting to the powerhead ??
I would be checking the impeller / pump again after ruling out a blockage somewhere. Did you go over any sandbar's or shallow stuff that could have pulled some garbage in ??? How do the intake screens look ??
