temperture ratings

Is it acceptable to use a lower temperature rating thermostat? I was given a new 110 that fits but my old thermostat is 130.

You can but it will reduce the efficiency of the motor. The motor was designed to run at a certain temperature for best performance.

Is there an issue with your 130 thermostat? If not why do you want to change it?
