Temporary bellows repair?

So just got this boat this weekend, seen it had water dripping and so I found a hole in the bellows, can I spray some lubricant in there and seal it with something to temporarily get through the rest of the season? Looks like a pain to remove this lower unit

No, you cant fix bellows

if its the exhaust bellows, there is supposed to be a hole for drainage.

with any new to you boat, you need to do all the maintenance and assume the prior owner did nothing.

this includes bellows, gimbal, u-joing inspection, coupler inspection, gear oil change, engine oil and filter change, plugs, wire, cap, rotor, fuel filter. then move on to the trailer....brakes, wheel bearings, coupler

Would help to know what drive that is.
Hard to see what bellow it is but what is the red area ? The only red I remember is from the rear housing and that would mean the main bellow that houses the U joints. Also cant see any clamp there.

BT doc, looking at the pic, its most likely an AQ series drive or one of its derivatives.

driver_dav pulling the drive on a volvo is easy. for just bellows, only the upper trans needs to be removed - see the stickies at the top of the forum for step by step.

if the bellows had water in it, the u-joint shaft will need to be replaced, hold on to your socks when you get a price.

lol. There is no such thing as a 'temporary' bellows repair. It leaks you replace it and repair the damage that the leak caused. This is why the OEMs say in their manuals, the drive or upper gear box on the AQ series should be removed to CHECK the bellows for leaks and cracks each season.

It is the drive bellows, It is an SP drive, I'm not sure how to tell much more then that, the side of it says SP CD Trim

I already have the bellows on order from Volvo, my plan is pulling the upper drive apart and if the drive is still solid as if it just started leaking then I plan on coating it in marine grease
