Temporary Registration Sticker?

Here is my problem, painted the starcraft this past winter so the registration stickers were removed. I did re-register the boat and have the temporary card, but I did everything online and don't have temp. stickers(not the numbers). The registration numbers are on the boat. Am I able to take it out tomorrow? I know I may get pulled over, but am I legal as long as the temp card is with me? The boat is registered in PA if it helps.

Thanks in advance!

if you have a card saying that it's registered you should be fine i don't see a problem. just explain it to him. If theres proof that you are registered than there shouldn't be a problem. good luck

Check your state's DMV. That plan would not fly in CA, the regulations are clear that the registration stickers must be affixed to the hull.

Just because you don't see a problem with it doesn't mean it's alright to do it.

The answer is if you are required to have the stickers displayed on the boat then no you are not legal unless you do so.

Re: Temporary Registration Sticker?

How is it that you have a temporary card and not the stickers?

After checking the PA website it states that there is no charge for replacement stickers anyhow, so just swing by with your registration and get a new set of stickers. There is a charge for a replacement title or registration card but not for the stickers.

Re: Temporary Registration Sticker?

You'll be fine. Since i boat in Pa also. I always renew the boat online. Mine are renewed in march. Sometimes i forget. I just keep the print out from the renewal process. It states it's a valid temp registration till your stickers and permanent card shows up in the mail.. Sixmark in our great state the stickers only come from one place. So u have to wait in the mail for the stickers. The notaries only issue 3 month temp decals.
