"By not wanting him to face a consequence for his actions, you are saying it is ok".

I said nothing about him not getting punished. I want him punished, and severely.

I watched the interview clip several times. In every one he said "I apologize for that." He didn't seem to take it very seriously and as far as I know he hasn't apologized directly to Hall.

I still question exactly what Hall said. Neither of them seem willing to say.

Spitting is maybe the ultimate insult. . .worse than a punch by a long shot. He should not get off any lighter than spitters in the past.

I see even JB has given up on the "Quote" function of this forum software and finds C&P quicker, easier.

CYJ, He's making whatever it is he is making $10 mil a year or whatever, because he was able to distinguish himself among his peers, and set himself apart from them.

He may be a world class classless jerk, but he is a rich one and a successful marketer of himself.

I would think the free marketers on this board would appreciate that much at least. Most of the rest of us if we spat on our boss or co-workers we'd get fired. TO has parlayed that into getting a raise. Stop the presses! --- Life Ain't Fair!

Politicians are holding themselves up as leaders and role models, and wield great power and authority over the populous, and therefore must be scrutinized, exposed if they do something out of line, and held accountable.

Pop culture figures are just that, made popular because people pay attention to them. Some deserve it, others don't deserve the time of day.

So because they are may not deserve their popularity their actions carry less weight? Roscoe I respectfully disagree with your assertion here.

There was a poll just released today that I saw on the news asking kids what is most important in life. The number one answer by a large margin was.......... being popular. Being a politician was no where on the list. That being said who are the kids paying attention to? In a sense people like TO weild more power over the populus simply because of stuff like that. Is that right?......most certainly not. THAT is precisely why i think we SHOULD pay them attention. If they are put in the spotlight as doing something bad, and then they are justfully punished, all the kids that look up to that person have in some way learned a lesson.

Politicians have the exact same goals. Sure not all, but most only care about making more money and could care less about their actual duties. And then we won't vote them out because we are all so hard core on our political lines that we think the other party can't possibly be better. So how are they different than the athlete who also makes millions, lives lavishly, and is in the spot light. Both are role models whether you want to admit it or not. One by choice the other by circumstance......but role model nonetheless. Kids and people who look up to people like TO are not interested in politics. They wont get it, nor will they care when some politician gets axed for looking at kiddie porn. They will however ask daddy why TO or whoever isnt playing in the game, and then daddy will tell him.

Well the fine was $35,000. Unprecidented and yet still a little more than 10% his weekly paycheck.

Well, good.

The Cowboys need to get rid of him. He is a primo donno, an embarrassment and no better than several other WRs they could field.

I like Terry Glen. He is injury prone, but has a knack for catching the tough ones. I enjoyed watching him when he played up here for those few years.

Can you imagine if TO wasnt such a team cancer.......what a waste of pure talent!
