Just food for thought

Does your car seem to be running at a higher rpm or revving more on hills. Its possible that your trans is slipping.

Are your tires on your car over sized.

Check thermostat and air filter, neither of those being bad will set a CEL. Might want to check and see if the CEL isn't burnt out too.

Check all vacuum lines for condition and connections.

I don't know if this car is equipped with a MAP sensor, but when they go partially bad, the fuel economy goes, too. But that may or may not register a code.

If this Hyundi has an EGR valve, it needs to be checked along with the EGV (valve that controls vacuum to the EGR).

A bad temperature sensor could be telling the ECM that the engine is cold, when it has actually heated up to operating temp. This will cause a rich fuel mixture.
