<br />All I could think about was helping my 60+ year old mother off a burning boat with a 75 gallon gas tank 15" in front of a burning motor.....in the middle of a lake. <br />
I think I would have left my mom at home. What the heck was the guy thinking when he saw smoke coming out of the engine bay? You and/or he knew there was a halon system aboard. I think the marine nechanic made out like a bandit on this one.<br />Glad you and your mother ar O.K. Wish the other guy had drowned or been blow up by opening the hatch. Does he have any kids? He's a darwin award candidate for sure.
Every day on the water is an adventure.<br /><br />Of all the misshaps in your story- especially taking a old lady on a strange boat's test run, it looks there is plenty of blame to go around.
