Test overheat alarm

I finally got my boat all cleaned up and layed in new carpet. So I started to check out the instrument panel. The tach didn't work, but a new rectifier took care of that. The horn didn't work but the wires were loose. My question is; there is nothing that looks like an alarm, siren under the dash except my push button horn. How can I test the alarm it see if it works, or is even there.

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Test overheat alarm

I missed the history. Why is it not an alarm system not in place that's possibly not working as other Etc? JOW

Re: Test overheat alarm

Here is a picture of my block with somekind of senser in it. Would this be the heat sending sensor. I followed it to a bundle of wires that into the boat. I was unable to follow it through the boat today(carpet glue was drying). I believe it was a tan color wire. Will that wire run to under the dash?

Thanks again,
Tom
