test prop

I am looking for a test prop for my evinrude and cannot find it on iboats. OMC part: 433068. anyone know where I can find one. Also curious if it is necessary. Its my understanding that its needed for max spark advance. Do people do it without a test prop?

If you really need a test wheel you can make one out of an old prop by cutting the blade ends off equally to get in the right rpm range. Test wheels work good for high speed trouble shooting with the boat on a trailer backed into a ramp. Used them for MANY years.
