Looking thru my manual(CLYMER)for 1973-1990 JohnnyRudes I noted that almost every test wheel prop has a few different engines it is used for >>some with different RPM, some with the same.

For instance test wheel #386246 is recommended for 88hp,90hp,110hp(all 1986 to 1988) and all expected to turn 4800rpm.
Then the same wheel is also suggested for 1984 115hp @4800rpm. 1985-on 120hp@5300rpm. 1973-76 135hp @4800rpm. 1977-85 140hp @4900rpm.
1986-on 140hp @ 5500rpm.
OK>>>I understand that the way HP was rated changed over the years, and some of the smaller HP engines turning this wheel are probably loopers with goobs of torque. But this goes on for almost all the engines listed>>>ALOT of different HP ratings that are relativly close, using the same wheel at very close, if not the exact same RPMs???
Any one shed some light on this???

And of course, the ONLY engine listed that had its own test wheel listed was the one for MY ENGINE..> 1973-83 115hp. It has the one oddball test prop. #384933 - Not lised for any other engines!
Why did they do that when there were so many engines in this series (100cu.in.x-flow) or at close to the same HP rating???
SORRY this is so long. THANKS for reading.
