Testing a switch box 93 sea rayder 90 hp sportjet

Is there a way to test a switch box on a 90 hp sport jet? i have gone thru most of the other testing and am getting desired results. I am leaning towards the switch box but dont want to spend the money if its not neccesary. thanks

I found on my 1997 rayder 175 that the triggering wiring was melted up top and shorting against the block. When I replaced the trigger and stator from Iboats the wiring was not clear and they actually reversed the red wires, lower to upper switch boxes. After I figured this out I switched them around and labeled them. Runs great.
