On a 87 Suzi 150 SS, had same question. Doesn't seem to be a way to test it. Didn't seem to be working. Browns Point said to disconnect, had no need for sensor for motor to run properly without it, just manually check oil tank level. With Low oil sensor bad, it caused my 150 to run on one bank of cylinder in protect mode. Have had no problems with mine with the sensor disconnected, and just keep the oil tank topped off before each trip out on the water.
