Just a guess ,but I'm thinking your audible alarm isn't connected from the rigger. My bros. boat was rigged the same way when new .Just the lights.IMO,those lights are worthhless.Particularly ,when running full out.I don't like to watch my console that frequently.

He didn't yet.And I never had the opportunity to inspect the hookup.Just grounded out his temp sensors one day to test for him while he was flushing his motor. Just the light came on.You'll need to confirm that the alarm in your controls ,not just the lights ,is wired in circuit from the alarm module .May be the alarm horn itself is defective.

Engine needs to be running to test horn, by grounding sensor wire.

You sure about that Clanton. My 96' model overheat sensor will audible test by grounding with just the key in the "on" position.

Clanton i have not tryed it with the motor running ,but the key is in the same position ,does it have something to do with the charging system? That is the only diffrence i can see.

OB.. the alarm horn sounds when self testing so it is wired in properly ,just doesnt sound to warn when sensors grounded..

No Im not sure of anything lately, but only takes 45 seconds to start engine and test. It would depend on which tach you are using. Plain tach, alarm should work engine off, System Check tach, the one with lights, engine needs to be running. The self test only tests the horn, does test sensor or wire to sensor. I will look in manual today.
