the effect on your speed would be the same as the difference between shaving your head or keeping your hair bushy.

Re: Textured surface's affect on drag?

Not really directly related to the question but how much can a 14' aluminum v bottom boat cost with no motor? Can't you just replace it with a decent used one that doesn't leak and save the time, money, and risk ?

With a title, anywhere from 300-1000 depending on what you want. I paid 250 for the whole deal. I figured that the little Evinrude is worth 200 running, so I have 50 bucks in a trailer and a free boat. But there's no such thing as a free boat.

I am keeping my eye open for deals on another boat, but they are hard to come by being that I am somewhat close to the two big lakes in SW MO. I can scrap this hull for more than I have in it.

I made a trip to the scrapyard this morning. They have a few axles to choose from and I'm gonna try to get one in the morning. .25 cents a pound, including wheels and tires. Anybody got a guess what a single 4 lug trailer axle would weigh? I'm gonna guess around 60-80lbs.
