Thank you to the people who replied to my question regarding the 87' 15 HP Evinrude that stalled out when engaged in gear. Thank you Daviet for the quick reply, Jimdd810 for the answer about it not being a VRO but Acumix (you were right). and thank you BKtheking for the advise to get a carb kit. Bottom line is I bought the Seloc manual, Carb Kit and mixed the gas 50:1. I installed the carb kit, replaced the fuel lines, filter and gaskets and she runs like new ( I have not put it on the boat for a real test run yet, but am confident she will run great) Turned out that the carb bowl was filthy with deposits. I do have another question about draining the bowl for winter storage. Is there a bowl with a drain valve available for this engine? Everyone said running it out of gas did not get rid of the gas in the bowl. I spoke with one guy who said use Stabile & just run the engine during the winter to prevent it from forming deposits. Thanks again, I couldn't wait till Christmas to get the engine serviced by our local shop.

You can put stabil in it just before you put it up for the winter and run it a bit, be sure to fog the cylinders as well.
