the motors run so smooth, i cant believe how great they run. all of them. the older 3hp, came out of a barn in nevada, along with a 14 foot valco, and trailer. cleaned out the motors, and gas tank. i change the coils in on the 56' and they both fired up on the first pull.

the 5 1/2 is beautiful, excluding the fading cover, the engine runs great, and idles fine.

i do notice that the engines ran better on the lake than in the barrell:D thanks again. now i have a new project, a mercury 15 hp, 1993. yeah i got the motor bug something fierce!!! lol

I really liked your lightwin and fisherman----they were REALLY nice and in good original shape! I'll bet they do run nicely. I'd really like to have a sportwin in the same year as your 5.5. F-R says they are really well built and it's one of the few fiberglass cowls I like at all.
I noticed you have a pile of shoes at the back door. We must be related!;)

jb,
thanks. yes, i really love the older evi's. quit and smooth. very simple to fix. too bad the wife says to get rid of some.............. something about having four motors in the garage. actually all three run really well. the lightwins were a barn find.:p
