Just a thanks for everyone here helping people. Just got done rebuilding my carb and fuel pump on my 72 9.5 rude. Last weekend I was yanking on the rope so much trying to get it to start I broke the rope. Bringing the pull handel right into my chest
. That hurt! Still dose. So I knew it was time to rebuild some things. I got my kits yesterday and dug in for the task today. Well, the carb was easy. Not much to it, just take it all apart and I mean everything and make sure its clean. I cleaned mine twice just to make sure.
The fuel pump is a differnt story, watch out for what you cant see. There are springs in them there things. Good thing they come with the kit.
So after following the two threads on top of this forum, reading other threads and asking questions. I got it all figured out. Got it all back together, filled my trash can full of water, pumped the ball once and went to pull the rope.
Crap, the wife took off with my new rope in her truck. Well, only having about 18" left of my old rope. I thought I would give it a try. Took me awhile to figure out how to do it, but I got it done. (I will post how i did it in a new thread)
Rope on, bumped ball 45 min. ago. Gave it a good yank.
BAMB!!!! Oh what a feeling
So thanks to everyone here, Its a great place to be
