Good idea JB. It would be nice to get more feed back on what the problem was and what solved it. Helps everyone in the long run..... :)

Re: Thanks for the help II.

Well, there was no problem thanks to this forum.

Somehow after cheaply buying '71 Evinrude 40 in April, I Googled to this forum.
Reading old posts I learned a lot (firstly to buy a manual), and managed get Evinrude back into life.
Whole August I enjoyed boating on my RIB in Adriatic.
Paul Moir, CatTransplant, Joe Reeves, JB and others, this is only to let you know that your words are appreciated even under warm Mediterranean sun.

Best Regards,
Tom

Re: Thanks for the help II.

I'm with Tom1, I stumbled across this site whilst looking for a manual for my 83 Johnson 60hp. I hadn't had it wet for sometime, life kept getting in the way of fun, I hate that.

Anyway once I got everything back up and running, :) I noticed that water/oil mix coming from the weep hole by the water intake after the third time out. My first thought was to get a manual. In looking for one I found this wondrous place. :D I did some looking around here, found tons of info, great folks and peace of mind that I was not alone it the world anymore.

I make iboats the first thing I look at everyday here at work. The SHT and post at the dockside keep me a good mood all day.

Thanks to everyone that post here.

Dan

Re: Thanks for the help II.

I have asked many questions and always got quick answers. On Sept.I asked how do I mount a temp.sender on a 89-150. Joe Reeves came on and said: mount an L-bracket to a head bolt and screw sender in bracket and let it touch the head:Now I have a temprature gauge that works. Thanks Joe Reeves,,,and everybody.
