Thanks to JB for making me a better person over the years and putting up with my screen name when that other marine forum way back when couldn't find the humor in it. That is why I stayed at iboats. :D

Re: Thanks for the help.

I forget who it was that helped me with my starter issue. However, I would really like to thank them. The manual I ordered did not have a clear pic of the starter, and it has been some time since I have done work on engines.

I would like to thank that person. So if you are reading this. Thank you! You were a BIG help. One hurdle down.

Re: Thanks for the help.

To tell you the truth, I don't remember how I found Iboats. And simply amazing how I trudged through life, blissfully happy with boating as it was, and thankful for the use of my "Angels" watching over me, keeping me from blowing myself up or sinking, until I discovered just how much I didn't know. And STILL don't know. You guys and girls are the greatest! God Bless, and thanks to all, Robby :)

Re: Thanks for the help.

I suggested this in a post a while back and I am happy to see it start to get implimented. Its a great place for people to browse and see how helpful the forum can be. I had many issues with a non-running boat I revieved that now runs great. Regardless of if someone specifically walked you through the actual fix for any particular problem or not, its great to just discuss with veterans and recieve the correct mind set and troubleshooting skills that will allow you to be a bit more independant in solving anything that might come up.

Great forum!

I wish to thank Rodbolt, Newport Dave, David 1995, and Don S. for there help in the wiring of a shift interupter from a OMC 305 on a 24 ft. 87 bayliner to a GM vortech with electronic ignition. The boat has been working realy well with the new engine. I was doing over 40 mph with all my dive gear in it.
Dennis

Re: Thanks for the help.

jb, many of us were just lucky to find the site. a guy on ol'paws outbard motor board referred me. i've only been here 2 weeks, my problems are just beginning, as i'm just starting to work on my boat. we would pay thousands of $ to to go to school to learn what to very knowledgable guys share freely with us dummies. thanks for the knowledge. god gave us one mouth, two ears, and two eyes. apparently he ment for us to use our eyes and ears 80% of the time and our mouth 20%.

JB, thank you for this forum site suggestion. It is commendable!
Many thanks from John Hink to the following members for their help and suggestive direction toward the location of an unusual noise in the aft section of my 19 ft Aluminum Starcraft, powered by a 181 cu in Mercruiser I/O.
Bondo
Bt Doctur
Haut Medoc

Re: Thanks for the help.

I had all kinds of problems at the beginning of the year and last year--wiring harness, cracked block and solenoid driver, sunken boat, carberator.... I would have lost my sanity if it hadn't been for the helpful guys on this forum--DonS, tommays, Bondo, Rodbolt and many more. All those problems and I didn't lose much boating time thanks to this site
Things are back on track and looking good for next year(knock on wood lol) Even have a new boat dock lined up for this year.

I would like to thank many people especially Don S who saved me a lot of money when I was going to replace my temperature gauge and the problem was my thermostat. Also, thanks for the fuel refund feedback - another money saving tip.

Thank you for the knowledge and expertise. I had looked in all of the known technical manuals and did not find my answers until posting here. This forum is great.
