Thanks for everyone who takes the time to share your wealth of knowledge. Special thanks to Boatin Bob for helping me with my shift problems. Thanks also for whoever wrote the Hastings Report on OMC Shifters. I would like to find his email address some day.

Re: Thanks for the help.

I would like to thank Don S, tommays and everyone who helped figure out my vapor lock issue that I had. Don S sent me a Mercury PDF on vapor lock which was very helpful. I had the boat out at Lake Cumberland this weekend and had no issues once reading on vapor lock. I let the engine idle five min. before shuting down and let the blower run all the time. I am very thankful that there is a place like this at Iboats for people to go for educated advice. Thanks again all, dkidd

Re: Thanks for the help.

I got the confidence to service the outdrive - yoke seal and impeller replacement in part because of this forum.
Everything went smooth except that I did not realize the prop could become disengaged from shifter so had a panic at first as to what happened but took it back out and figured out the problem
Thx Robert
