Thanks guys it was the fuel pump.But wont idle now?

Thanks for the help on my last post "Trouble Shooting fuel prob. Sucks",your info helped alot.So heres the new prob.The fuel pump was the problem but now it wont idle and seems a little rough at low RPMs.I think with the new fuel pump running probably alot stronger now,do i have to adjust something on the carb now?I was thinking maybe just turning up idle RPMs.But atleat she goes now without squeezinng the bulb constantly.Its a 1989 20 horse merc. by the way.

You may find that now the pump is working properly<br />the increased fuel pressure is causing the needle & seats to leak making the float level too high & causing flooding at idle.I would strip carbs clean & replace needles & seats,set float levels,reassemble,do a link & synch & then adjust mixture screws with the motor idling in forward gear in the water.Hope this helps.
