Well, with the help of this forum, we finally got the boat dialed in. It now runs great at all speeds. The only time it acts up now is when we put the "Happy Troller" plate down. I think it causes too much back pressure. I'll be moving it a bit back to try it again.

Ayuh,... I've seen alotta Busted drives from those drop down trolling plates,...
That's why I use Huge Drift-socks,+ Huge Trim Tabs instead....
With my over-sized Bennetts full down, I can troll at 1mph at idle....
With the tabs down,+ the drift socks out,.. I can troll at .50 to .75mph, at idle....

I found a kicker mount for the swim platform. I think we are going to go that route. It'll be easier on gas, and we'll have the extra security of an extra motor should we need it 15-20 miles off shore. My dad has a 15hp Rude just sitting in the shed, that'll work out well.
