Pretty sure he's got more than 2G sitting there. You're not?

Oh yah, that's exactly what I am saying ^^^. And that's materials alone. Never mind what kind of time the builder put into that project, she is preety!

Re: The answer

I'm just getting started good on my rebuild, bass boat, and I'm just over $1000. I'd be willing to bet he's got more than $2000 in it, not counting labor.

Re: The answer

I agree he's not making any money on that. Very sharp boat.

Re: The answer

There is a Glen-L Squirt in the Albany NY CL. $2,700 with a newer 8hp Suzuki. I know the builder had more than $2,700 in Mahogany and plywood alone.

That boat is sharp.

I could see the Adrimal and myself cruising around the lake in this one. Very Nice.

Re: The answer

You'll probably never even come close to paying for materials along, let alone your labor....

But also keep in mind that that's a pretty "useless" boat... Very nice restore and very cool, but useless. Most people interested in a boat like that want to restore it themselves.

Re: The answer

Refinished 5 years ago .. sloppy cleat placement .. 2k .. I will pass on that :) .

I wanna know what he did and does he have an album of what he used to Rebuild/Refinished it with. Products..application.

2k without a motor ..

Yes you can make $ in a Refinished boat. .. You will probably lose your butt selling a Restored boat :) ..

There is a difference ;) ..

Re: The answer

I don't even want to think about what I have in mine, and that was pretty much low-budget. I have all the receipts in a box but don't even like opening it! Could never sell it and even recover what I spent on parts/materials, let alone labor. Has to be a labor of love. Like YD says, restored vs. refinished.....that's the difference in profit or not.
