Re: The automatic use of Seafoam

Well i give up ! Im going to spray some decard in my johnson 110 hp next weekend. A question does adding a bottle of card/injector cleaner into the gas tank do any harm to an outboard ?

Re: The automatic use of Seafoam

I add about three ounces of seafoam to my gas every other tank. When I get ready to decarb I run on muffs and get engine warm and spray into carbs.
I then take plugs out and fill with them with seafoam,
I let it set overnight and take to the water early so no ones is around. Then I run it like I stole it.

I decarded yesterday afternoon the exact way that Walley Man descibed. It wasn't my first time doing this but I am amazed every season (I decard every year) at the results of this. My only suggestion is DO NOT do this on the driveway. It makes a big mess and the wife won't be too happy :D

Just a refresher for our not familiar to Sea Foam members.

It was developed by/for OMC, for 2 stroke engines.
It has 3 ingredients, alcohol, oil, and naptha.

It can't hurt to leave it soak in the engine for a longer time period, as it is also recommended as a fogging oil and fuel stabilizer.

lowranger, yes you can do that, if you have a hose to hook it up with.

I wouldnt add anything to your fuel but Sea Foam and maybe a fuel stablizer, ( although I do not use a fuel stablizer). The only other thing I add to my fuel is GTA Fuel enhancer. Ive done plenty of research on the product and run a couple of tanks now and I have had increased performance and the engine just sounds smoother. I use 4 oz, per 14-15 gallons of 87 octane fuel.

GTA FUEL ENHANCER
