Re: The beast comes to life!!!!

I was worried about the floor at first as well. But through a ton of research, and youtube, I think I can do it. THANK YOU Al Gore for the interwebs. Lol.

Well still not on the water with this engine. The work has gone kind of slow. But I did finish the shroud.DSC03848.jpgDSC03849.jpgI will be starting L/U dissassembly and refinishing in the next couple of weeks. I guess that means a new impeller too. As goes the B.O.A.T. saying. lol...

The Engine is 99% complete. Thought I'd post a couple of pix. Two years from start to finish, including all electrical. Thank you to all here that have helped me through this journey. All while two deaths in the family, one of my dogs died, one of my cars was repossessed because of a clerical error, and I had 12" of intestine taken out. All in all, not too bad eh?

Gee. it looks real good.....best of luck with it. I always seemed to need to clean the carb a couple of times a year, on mine. Of course, my carb was really bad. Hope yours is better. That motor would be just the thing for pulling a knee board. Lots of power on the low RPM range.
